3 Dead, 4 Injured In Stockton, California, Shooting, Police Say

At least seven people were shot in a shooting Tuesday in Stockton, California, according to local police. Three people were killed.

Police spokesman Joe Silva told the Los Angeles Times that the crime, which has been described as a drive-by shooting, occurred outside a convenience store near downtown Stockton at around 8:30 p.m. He noted that the area around the store is “known for gang activity.”

CBS 13 News reports that two women and a man were killed in the shooting. One victim is said to have died at the scene, while the other two died at the hospital.

Police are investigating.
