New York Republican Elise Stefanik (age 30) became the youngest woman in American history to be elected to Congress during November’s midterm elections. When the 114th Congress convened in January, she also became its youngest member.
Although Rep. Stefanik holds the title for youngest, she’s not alone in spending her 30s on Capitol Hill. According to an analysis of GovTrack.us data by research engine FindTheBest, 32 members of Congress are under 40. See them all, from youngest to oldest, below.
Only one senator, Tom Cotton (R-AR) makes the list.
